~ Includes roasting a small batch of Organic coffee beans, taking home 150g of certified organic beans.

~ Calling all coffee lovers to this fun filled coffee tasting and roasting experience at breathtaking Totoka Urban Farm. Head to onsite wholesale coffee roastery ‘TUF COFFEE’ for a relaxing and informative coffee tasting experience, guided by the master roasters themselves AND owners of their working farm ‘Totoka’. Your taste buds will be taken on a journey around the world with specialty certified organic and fair trade single origins, and learn about how the beans go from crop to your cup!

~ With unlimited coffee tasting throughout, discover what your favourite origins are, and learn what it takes to make the perfect cuppa. As Totoka is a PRIVATE working urban farm, gates are locked outside of bookings which makes this an even more UNIQUE experience of ‘behind the scenes’, with owners welcoming guests to their homestead and farm for a custom experience unlike any!

BARISTA CORE SKILLS for 2

Cost: $386 for 2people (or 1:1)

Duration: 2hrs practical + 3hrs Coffee Fundamentals online

Time: Time to be negotiated as this is a private booking.

Description

~ This is a private group experience for 2 or 1:1 for intensive learning. Time for the 2 hour practical will be negotiated to suit; includes morning, noon, evening & some weekends!

~ 3hrs Theory ONLINE to be completed prior to practical. Link will given upon booking.

~ 2hr FUN Practical IN-PERSON @ Totoka includes use of coffee machine, coffee beans, milk for practical AND oodles of coffee tasting!

~ Join master roasters and owners of ‘Extract Black Coffee Roasting Co.’ (also owners of Totoka) for a relaxing, informative ‘Barista Core Skills’ experience, perfect for the home barista.

~ U16 – parent/caregiver must stay with U16 for practical and encouraged to be our free ‘taste-tester’!

Join master roasters and owners of ‘Extract Black Coffee Roasting Co.’ (also owners of Totoka) for a relaxing, informative ‘history on crop to cup process of coffee.

~ Theory was compiled by Adrianne to highlight the methods Extract Black Coffee follow due to years of experience roasting and owning food businesses. It is not definitive but gives an amazing behind the scenes into the world of coffee…the second largest commodity in the world!

~ Upon payment, welcome email containing private link for all the information (on our website) so can be accessed from any device and no login details needed.

~ This Experience is the theory component to the ‘Coffee Barista Core Skills’ Experience.

~ This is a fabulous unit of work for homeschoolers who seek to understand the food production side of businesses.

~ Link periodically changes so you have 1 month to complete theory before experience expires.
